During the fight, Nanami skillfully avoids Mahito’s attacks while the curse transforms his victims. One of the monsters cries out for help, causing Nanami to recall Shoko’s advice: never hesitate when facing these creatures.
Mahito casually apologizes, explaining that the disfiguration doesn’t always kill the victims right away. Nanami responds coldly, stating that he separates his emotions from his work. Mahito laughs, seeing through Nanami’s words and understanding his true feelings.
