Jujutsu Kaisen Chapter 42 Summary
Before the Goodwill Event kicks off, Nobara asks Yuji for his thoughts on Maki, intrigued by his perception of her. Though Yuji doesn’t know much about the inner workings of Jujutsu, he notices Maki’s tough, composed demeanor and recognizes her as a formidable fighter.
Nobara, however, reveals that Maki’s low grade is due to her family’s influence and the politics of Jujutsu Society. She explains that this Team Event is an opportunity for Maki to prove herself and gain the recognition she deserves, hinting at the complexities of their world beyond just strength.
